SHE IS OFFLINE

           She was a girl with a beautiful heart and full of life. A girl with big dreams and average scores. Life  was much better before she came into the world of social media which made her feel she wasn't good enough and that convinced her to find someone to feed her love even after having people around her who made her their only priority. She was introduced to those fake beauty standards that made her question her mom why didn't she give birth to a pretty face? and the urge to live a branded life that made her question her dad why wasn't he rich enough? Slowly day by day she started to lose her own light and started shaping her already perfect life to something that her phone's screen showed. Alarms turned into instagram notifications is when she lost track of time and life. Clicking pictures and posting them became much important than admiring those smiles and tears of happiness around her. Prioritizing people she met online is when she broke the strings attached to her self-respect and ambitions. Adding filters to her pictures to convince a guy she met online is when she lost her self-esteem and dignity. Skipping meals and forcing herself to fit into someone's pant is when she lost her energy and health. Posting pictures and seeking validation is when she lost her self-confidence. Letting someone else decide her mood is when she lost her happiness. Active status on instagram made her temporarily deactivated in her real life. she lost her own identity struggling hard to become someone else. She thought she was heading towards a bright future but she didn't realize she was drowning into darkness failing to live in those happy moments around her. Eventually like every human being she got tired of trying to become someone else and that is when she turned on her airplane mode and took some time to think who was she actually trying to convince?? who was she trying to be all this time?? She then realized happiness is the state of mind and people who love her with zero filters is the real wealth she's been blessed with. And now she is offline yet happy. Happiness and peace is the ultimate sophistication!
